Estonian Present

This is a list of verbs in the present tense in Estonian. First let's start with the raw format before conjugating the verbs to the present form. Make sure to compare this table and the one below it.

To write: Kirjutama
To love: Armastama
To give: Andma
To play: Mängima
To read: lugema
To understand: Mõistma
To have: Omama
To know: Teadma
To learn: Õppima
To think: Mõtlema
To work: Töötama

To smile: Naeratama
To find: Leidma

These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the present tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).

I see you: Ma näen sind
I write with a pen: Ma kirjutan pastapliiatsiga
You love apples: Sa armastad õunu / te armastate õunu
You give money: Sa annad raha / te annate raha
You play tennis: Sa mängid tennist / te mängite tennist
He reads a book: Ta loeb raamatut
He understands me: Ta mõistab mind
She has a cat: Tal on kass
She knows my friend: Ta tunneb mu sõpra
We want to learn: Me tahame õppida
We think Spanish is easy: Me arvame, et hispaania keel on lihtne / meie arvates on hispaania keel lihtne
You (plural) work here: te töötate siin
You (plural) speak French: te räägite prantsuse keelt
They drive a car: nad juhivad autot
They smile: Nad naeratavad
