This is a list of verbs in the past tense in Gujarati. First let's start with the raw format before conjugating the verbs to the past form. Make sure to compare this table and the one below it.

To love: પ્રેમ કરવો prēma karavō |
To give: આપવું āpavuṁ |
To play: રમવું ramavuṁ |

To know: જાણવું jāṇavuṁ |
To learn: શીખવું śīkhavuṁ |
To think: વિચારવું vicāravuṁ |
To work: કામ કરવું kāma karavuṁ |
To speak: બોલવું bōlavuṁ |
To drive: હંકારવું haṅkāravuṁ |
To smile: સ્મિત કરવું smita karavuṁ |
To find: શોધવું śōdhavuṁ |
These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).
I saw you: મેં તમને જોયા mēṁ tamanē jōyā |
I wrote with a pen: મેં પેનથી લખ્યું mēṁ pēnathī lakhyuṁ |
You loved apples: તમને સફરજન ગમ્યાં હતાં tamanē sapharajana gamyāṁ hatāṁ |
You gave money: તમે પૈસા આપ્યાં tamē paisā āpyāṁ |
You played tennis: તમે ટેનિસ રમ્યાં tamē ṭēnisa ramyāṁ |
He read (past) a book: તેણે એક પુસ્તક વાંચ્યું tēṇē ēka pustaka vān̄cyuṁ |
He understood me: તે મને સમજ્યો tē manē samajyō |
She had a cat: તેણીની પાસે બિલાડી હતી tēṇīnī pāsē bilāḍī hatī |
She knew my friend: તેણી મારા મિત્રને જાણતી હતી tēṇī mārā mitranē jāṇatī hatī |
We wanted to learn: અમે શીખવા માંગતા હતાં amē śīkhavā māṅgatā hatāṁ |
We thought Spanish is easy: અમને વિચાર્યું કે સ્પેનિશ સરળ છે amanē vicāryuṁ kē spēniśa saraḷa chē |
You (plural) worked here: તમે (બહુવચન) અહીં કામ કર્યું tamē (bahuvacana) ahīṁ kāma karyuṁ |
You (plural) spoke French: તમે (બહુવચન) ફ્રેન્ચ બોલ્યા tamē (bahuvacana) phrēnca bōlyā |
They drove a car: તેમણે કાર હંકારી tēmaṇē kāra haṅkārī |
They smiled: તેઓએ સ્મિત કર્યું tē'ō'ē smita karyuṁ |
