Norwegian Negation

This is a lesson about negation in Norwegian. This includes words or expressions used to form a negative form as opposted to the affirmative. For example "I don't understand".

No: Ingen
Nothing: Ingenting
Not yet: Ikke ennå
No one: Ingen
No longer: Ikkje lengre
Never: aldri
Cannot: Kan ikke
Should not: Burde ikke

The below examples demonstrate how to use the negation form in a sentence. Don't be shy to use of these expressions if you don't know something.

We don't understand: Vi forstår ikke
I do not speak Japanese: Jeg snakker ikke japansk
I cannot remember the word: Jeg husker ikke ordet
You should not forget this word: Du burde glemme dette ordet
No problem!: Ingen problem!
I don't know!: Jeg vet ikke!
I'm not interested!: Jeg er ikke interessert!
Don't worry!: Ikke bekymre deg!
This is wrong: Dette er galt
This is not correct: Dette er ikkje riktig
No one here speaks Greek: Ingen her snakker gresk
