| Behind: पछाडि pachāḍi |
In front of: त्यसको अगाडि tyasakō agāḍi |
Near: नजिक najika |
Between: बिचमा bicamā |

Before: पहिला pahilā |
With: सँग sam̐ga |
Without: बिना binā |
| Since: देखि dēkhi |
Until: तब सम्म taba sam'ma |
Of: को kō |
From: बाट bāṭa |
| To: तिर tira |
Instead of: त्यसको बदला tyasakō badalā |
In: मा mā |
Against: विरूद्घ virūdgha |
| As: जस्तो कि jastō ki |
About: करिब kariba |
For: लागि lāgi |
The following are conjunctions used to connect words, sentences, or phrases.
| And: र ra |
Or: अथवा athavā |
But: तर tara |
So: तेसो भए। tēsō bha'ē. |
Now is the time for some prepositions used in a sentence. We are using the following: (from, under, inside, with, in, but) as examples.
| I'm from Japan: म जापान बाट हो। Ma jāpāna bāṭa hō. |
The pen is under the desk: कलम टेबुल मुनी छ। Kalama ṭēbula munī cha. |
| The letter is inside the book: चिठी िकताब भित्त छ। Ciṭhī ̔ikatāba bhitta cha. |
Can I practice Italian with you?: के म ितमीसँग ईताली भाषा िसक्ने प्रयास गर्न सक्छु। Kē ma ̔itamīsam̐ga ītālī bhāṣā ̔isaknē prayāsa garna sakchu. |
| I was born in Miami: म िमयामीमा जन्मिएको हो Ma ̔imayāmīmā janmi'ēkō hō |
I speak French but with an accent: म कहिले काही फन्च बोल्छु। ma kahilē kāhī phanca bōlchu. |
