Galician Past

This is a list of verbs in the past tense in Galician. First let's start with the raw format before conjugating the verbs to the past form. Make sure to compare this table and the one below it.

To give: dar

These samples show how the verbs above are conjugated in the past tense in a sentence which includes all the object pronouns (I, you, she...).

I saw you: vinte
I wrote with a pen: escribín cun bolígrafo
You loved apples: a tí gustáronche as mazás (informal) / a vostede gustáronlle as mazás (polite)
You gave money: ti diches diñeiro (informal) / vostede deu diñeiro (polite)
You played tennis: ti xogaches ao tenis (informal) / vostede xogou ao tenis (polite)
He read (past) a book: el leu un libro
He understood me: el entendeume
She had a cat: ela tivo un gato
She knew my friend: ela coñeceu ao meu amigo
We wanted to learn: quixemos aprender
We thought Spanish is easy: pensamos que o Español é facil
You (plural) worked here: vós traballástedes aquí (informal) vostedes traballaron aquí (polite)
You (plural) spoke French: vós falastes en Francés (informal) / vostedes traballaron aquí (polite)
They drove a car: conduciron un coche
They smiled: sorriron
