Catalan Directions

These are expressions used when giving or getting directions in Catalan. Very useful when trying to find your way around or when lost.

Excuse me! (to ask someone): Perdoni!
Can you show me?: Podria indicar-me?
I'm lost: Estic perdut (male) / perduda (female)
I'm not from here: No sóc d'aquí
Can I help you?: Et puc ajudar?
Can you help me?: Em pot ajudar?
It's near here: És a prop d'aquí.
It's far from here: És lluny d'aquí
Go straight: Vagi recte
Turn left: Giri a l'esquerra
Turn right: Giri a la dreta.
One moment please!: Un moment si us plau!
Come with me!: Vingui amb mi!
How can I get to the museum? : Per on es va al museu?
How long does it take to get there?: Quant es tarda en arribar-hi?
Downtown (city center): El centre

The following are words which might be used alone or in combination with other words to ask or give directions.

Near: A prop
Far: Lluny
Right: Dreta
Left: Esquerra
Straight: Recte
There: allà
Here: aquí
To walk: caminar
To drive: conduir
To turn: girar
Traffic light: Semàfor
